AlumHI & Basique Threads

Hello all!  I know I've been pretty M.I.A. lately, and obviously haven't been sticking to the routine posts I set out to do.  Which is why it will continue to be a tentative posting schedule, and nothing that is set in stone.  Besides that, I just kinda wanted to drop in and share with you all a bit of what I did this past weekend, although I never seem to feel as though my weekends typically entail wondrous and exciting things.  Anyway, this weekend I was briefly able to attend the AlumHI event that was held at Fishcake in Kakaako (Ward Area), a fashion show of recent graduates of the University of Hawaii and Honolulu Community College's fashion design programs and a photography exhibition of locally based fashion photographers.  As expected, there was a terrific turn out, with tons of fabulous people I often see at these types of occasions, which is always a nice.  When I arrived, the fashion show had already finished, but I was able to see glimpses of the models who posed for pictures in various nooks of the venue.  I kind of regret not squeezing through the hoards of people that were there, so I could have snapped some photos of the models to show you all the amazing garments they were dressed in.  If I'm able to find great photos someone else took from that night, I'll try to link that off for you to see.  Aside from that event, there were some great shopping events going on at the Ward Warehouse area, that I of course had to stop by and browse through.  Ultimately, I ended up with adorable white overalls from Basique Threads that I'm eager to wear despite the fact that it's now fall.  Below are a few pictures I took of my time at the AlumHI event, as well as my purchase from Basique Threads.  All photos taken by me.  =]
