Stuff I Bought: Target + Neiman Marcus Collaboration Collection

As many of you may know, Target & Neiman Marcus teamed up this year to have one of the best designer + affordable collaborations I have ever seen.  The launch of this collaboration was to commemorate the CFDA's 50th anniversary, so there were many exquisite designers that were featured in this monumental partnership.  This designer collaboration launch was on December 1st, at both Neiman Marcus and Target locations nationwide, although I went to Neiman Marcus to pick up the items I wanted out of fear of being trampled at Target.  I will also be having a separate blog post about my time at the event, along with outfit shots from that day that I will hopefully have up soon after this one.  Below are pictures of the items I purchased from the collection, some of which are Christmas gifts for others, but majority of them I bought for myself.  The haul video for these items will be embedded below, as well as linked (here).  Hope you all are having a joyous holiday season.  All pictures taken by me.  =]

Balenciaga Baby

I have always been fond of the look and craftsmanship of the Balenciaga leather goods, but it always seemed to be something that was far out of range in terms of price and accessibility.  However, a Balenciaga store opened up at the Ala Moana center this fall, which made me eager to see the selection they had, and opened my mind to picking up one of their pieces.  Having gone in a couple times to view the items the Balenciaga store had to offer, I never really showed any interest in anything they had on display.  Although after looking online a bit on the Balenciaga website, I had grown an attraction to the leather bracelets they have, particularly the gorgeous neutral colored ones that would suit everything in my wardrobe.  Keeping this in mind, I had my heart set on the giant silver hardware leather bracelet in latte, that seemed to be utter perfection in terms of color versatility.  Knowing the specific bracelet I wanted, I went in to the Balenciaga store once more, and asked to see their selection of leather bracelets since they only had a few color varieties out on display, and sure enough found the leather bracelet in latte with the giant silver hardware.  I was instantly in love, so I asked to try it on, and was completely sold.  It was definitely an impulsive splurge purchase, but completely worth it in my eyes.  Below are several shots of my Balenciaga bracelet, along with shots of the other bits and pieces that came packaged along with it.  All photos were taken by me.  This bracelet and more are available at balenciaga.com  =]

New ARrival

Carrying exquisite pieces from an array of innovative designers from across the globe, Aloha Rag has definitely established itself as being a boutique that provides the very best in cutting edge fashion.  Following with this trend, the Aloha Rag brand has emerged as "AR", coming out with beautifully crafted garments and accessories that hold their own against the other designers that encompass the Aloha Rag boutiques.  Pieces from the AR line were featured at a fashion show styled by Geremy Campos for November's Honolulu Night Market to which I attended (blog post from my experience), where the simplistic chic quality of the garments complimented the others that came down the runway.  In addition to the fashion show, an editorial was produced using AR pieces that can be seen depicted below, showcasing the versatility and range the line possesses for the fall season.  The editorial was styled/directed by Geremy Campos, photographed by Jeremy Snell, hair and make up done by Zairrah, and the featured model is Michelle Bailie with Wilhelmina HI.  Pieces by AR can be found for both men and women at aloharag.com.  =]

Sweater in the Swelter

The holiday season is rolling in, and I'm making a conscious effort to bring out winter elements to my wardrobe.  However, the weather here in Hawaii has been conflicting with wanting to wear warmer clothing, since it has been fluctuating between rainy, windy, and humid days.  Regardless of the weather issues, I paired an outfit around a slouchy knit sweater that I wore while out running errands this week.  Below are some shots of my outfit as a whole, along with some detail shots of accessories I wore along with it.  All photos were taken by Ericka Nicole Bueno (Mixe Medium).  =]

Oatmeal silk knit sweater by Ralph Lauren, black denim skinny jeans by Levi's, black leather ankle boots by Bruno Magli, black lambskin Rocco mini duffel with black nickel hardware by Alexander Wang.  Accessory details in other photos below.

Stainless steel armor ring by L'mond, antique silver geometric necklace from Bamboo Sky, antique silver chevron layered cuff by French Connection.

Event: Honolulu Night Market (November 17, 2012)

It was kind of a last minute decision while out this weekend to attend the Honolulu Night Market in Kaka'ako, but it was definitely a pleasant experience.  This was my first time attending this event, as there had been one held previous to this one, so I didn't really hold many expectations as to what it would encompass.  All I really knew before going was that there were going to be vendors (food, clothing, etc.) and there was going to be a fashion show, but that was convincing enough to attend...and it was convenient to get to since my friends and I were already doing something in the area.  Nonetheless, it turned out to be a really nice night out in a block party type atmosphere, with lots of food options, artists, designers, and others showcasing their work in the community.  I was very enticed by the pieces shown in the fashion show styled by Geremy Campos, and two of my favorite looks can be seen (mirrored) in the pictures below.  I also ran into more fabulous people that night, like Lindsey of Pineapple Ice, and Ariyaphon Southiphong a.k.a. Andy South, both of which I snapped photos with that can also be seen below.  All photos were shot by Zeric Villanueva with the exception of the fashion show shots.  =]

Rowena and I in front of some artwork near the pop up shops.  My Outfit Details: white cotton v-neck by Ralph Lauren, faux fur vest from Fashionista's Market, black denim jeans by Andrew Charles, vintage Moschino belt (as seen in "Black & Gold Bliss" post), black lambskin Rocco mini duffel bag with black nickel hardware by Alexander Wang, ankle boots by Bruno Magli (can't really see 'em), necklace and bracelets from Macy's, Brandy Melville, and iKandy.
